  2. Chronic Pain: Chronic pain persists for an extended period, often lasting for months or even years. It may result from an injury or an underlying medical condition. In chronic pain, the pain signaling system may become sensitized or malfunction, leading to ongoing pain even after the initial injury or illness has healed.

Pain management involves various approaches, including medications, physical therapies, cognitive-behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, and complementary therapies. Addressing the underlying cause of pain is crucial in managing and alleviating its effects on an individual's well-being and quality of life.
